PROFILE OF THE 23rd ICSAN PRESIDENT, MR. TESLIM OLATUNDE BUSARI, FCIS
Olatunde Busari was born on the 16th November, 1962. He attended Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, Oyo State where he obtained his 0rdinary Level certificate between 1974 and 1979. Thereafter, he proceeded to Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo for his ‘A Level Certificate between 1979 and 1981.
He obtained his B.Sc in Political Science from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Osun State (Now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1984. He later proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State where he obtained his LL.B (Law) in 1988. He was called into the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He later obtained the Master of Law (LL.M) from the University of Lagos.
His National Youth Service Programme was at the Government Day Secondary School, Kwajaffa, Biu Local Government Area, Borno State where he served as a tutor. His working experience includes his attachment to the law firm of Molajo & Co, Lagos in fulfillment of the conditions precedent to call to Nigerian Bar. He was also an Associate in the law firm of Babalakin & Co between 1990 and 1993. He was a Director at Trans Nigeria Assurance Co. Limited, Ibadan, Oyo State from 1999 to 2003. He also served as Director at the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2007 and also Director of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) (2010 till date).Since 1993, he has been a partner in the law firm of Akinwunmi & Busari. He was the Special Assistant to the Hon. Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice from 2006-2007. Presently, he is the Special Assistant to the Hon. Attorney General and Minister of Justice; Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN
He passed the qualifying examinations of the Institute and became a Fellow in 2004. He was the Chairman of the Finance & General Purposes Committee and the Conference and AGM committees of the Institute.

He has at various times represented the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Working Groups and sessions of the United Nations, West African Monetary Zone (WAMZI) meetings, World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), World Bank etc.
Mr Busari has practiced as a Company Secretary, Chartered Arbitrator and solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for over 20years and has acquired over the years skills and expertise in the prosecution of civil and commercial matters in the various law courts in Nigeria. He has acted as counsel to parties in pending cases in the Nigerian Courts at various stages of legal proceedings. Such cases include issues of Corporate Governance amongst others.
He has attended several Conferences and seminars both at home and abroad. He is happily married with children.
He is a member of the Ikoyi Club 1938 and Ikeja Golf Club
